Spicy Chicken Sloppy Joes

1 tablespoon
Olive oil
1
Large yellow onion, diced
2 cloves
Garlic, minced
1 1/2 lbs
Springer Mountain Farms Ground Chicken
1 cup
Ketchup
1/3 cup
Light brown sugar
2 tablespoons
Yellow mustard
1 tablespoon
Ancho chili powder
2 teaspoons
Worcestershire sauce
Kosher salt, to taste
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Buns, for serving
  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil.
  2. Add onion and cook until tender, about 6 minutes, and then add garlic, cooking for an additional minute.
  3. Add ground chicken and cook, breaking up pieces, until no longer pink for about 6 minutes.
  4. Stir in ketchup, brown sugar, mustard, chili powder and Worcestershire sauce, and season with salt and pepper.
  5. Simmer until thick for about 5 minutes.
  6. Serve over buns.
