Honey Mustard Pretzel Chicken Tenders
1/4 cup
Dijon mustard
1/4 cup
mayonnaise
2 tablespoons
honey
1-2 lbs
2 cups
finely crushed salted pretzel twists (or flavored pretzels)
1 teaspoon
garlic powder
1 teaspoon
onion powder
1/2 teaspoon
smoked paprika
1 teaspoon
black pepper
Spray olive oil
Spicy honey dipping sauce (recipe below)
Ranch dressing for dipping (on the side)
- In a bowl, whisk together the mustard, mayo, and honey.
- Add the chicken and toss well to coat.
- Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F, and line a baking sheet with parchment.
- Add the pretzel crumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika and a pinch of pepper to a medium-sized bowl: stir to combine. (** If using flavored pretzels, you can skip the added seasoning to avoid over seasoning)
- Remove each piece of chicken from the honey mustard, and dredge through the crumbs, pressing gently to adhere: place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Repeat until all the chicken has been coated.
- Lightly spray the chicken with olive oil.
- Transfer to the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through to an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Make the spicy honey dipping sauce by melting together the honey, butter, cayenne, chili powder, paprika, and a pinch of salt.
- Serve the chicken with spicy honey sauce for dipping, and a side of ranch if desired.
