Edgar Pendley has earned a reputation as one of Nashville’s most versatile and talented chefs from his previous work leading the kitchen at Urban Grub and his experience with Haute Iron - Live Fire Events. He helped develop the menu at Ellington’s Mid Way Bar & Grill at the Fairlane Hotel in downtown Nashville, but has been relatively out of sight for the past few months while local diners waited to see what his newest venture would be.
Now we know the answer, thanks to a recent article by the Nashville Post. Pendley has announced that he will be opening a new pizza restaurant and craft brewery in the burgeoning Donelson community just outside of downtown near the airport. The restaurant will be called TennFold and will focus on pizza and beer, which is a pretty good start to attracting a loyal following. Like at Urban Grub and Haute Iron, there will be an emphasis on live fire cooking which is perfect for both baking pizzas and adding some char to the toppings that will adorn the pies.
On the brewery side, TennFold will be brewing beer for draft service in the restaurant and in cans which the company will self-distribute in Davidson County. They will also offer growler filling services for patrons who want to take some of their draft beers to go. Pendley hasn’t disclosed who will be doing the brewing or what styles of beer they will create, but you can bet it will be something special.
While an opening date hasn’t been nailed down yet, TennFold will be located at 2408 Lebanon Pike near Briley Parkway. Hopefully by the end of this fall, Pendley’s fans will be able to enjoy his unique style of food and drink again!
