Chef Nick Leahy is a long time friend of Springer Mountain Farms. He’s been using Springer Mountain Farms chicken exclusively in his restaurants since the early 2000s. Chef Leahy is partner and Executive Chef at Nick’s Westside which opened it’s doors in October 2020.
Nick’s Westside was created to be a neighborhood gathering place with a menu cultivated by Chef Nick that has been influenced by his global culinary journey spanning several decades. Spending much of his childhood in France’s Provence region, Chef Nick likes to say that his earliest memories were of flavors. The French half of his family followed the age-old custom of eating with the seasons, and selecting only fresh, local ingredients.
Nick’s Westside follows the same custom and uses locally sourced, sustainable ingredients from Georgia producers. In keeping with the use of fresh, local ingredients, the menu changes weekly. One constant on the menu is Springer Mountain Farms like these tempting dishes currently being featured: the NWS Hot Chicken Sandwich and Confit Chicken Leg entrée.

NEW NEWS:
Chef Nick is also the culinary director for Dash Hospitality Concepts, a group that is working to revitalize the Dunwoody Village into a vibrant hub of restaurants centered around an open and inviting courtyard. The first concept, Bar{n} booze {n} bites opened in 2021, and Morty’s Meat & Supply opened it’s doors at the end of 2022. The third restaurant, Message in a Bottle, an eagerly anticipated seafood restaurant, is slated to open in the Fall of 2023.
Morty’s Meat & Supply is a new twist on the meat & three veg restaurant focusing on the classics normally found in this type of restaurant, but also delving into the realm of smoked meats and seafood and less traditional sides. We highly recommend the smoked chicken wings or the fried chicken! Look for Morty’s Meat & Supply at 5509 Chamblee Dunwoody Rd, Dunwoody, GA 30338. They’ve recently added lunch hours too!

Nick’s Westside hosts an Around the World Monthly Wine Dinner and this month’s tour will take you to Sicily! They are bringing the warmth of the Mediterranean’s largest island to Atlanta’s westside with a 5 course tasting menu where Chef Nick will highlight locally sourced ingredients prepared with a Sicilian flair.
