A group of chefs will gather at Camp North End for Community Feast: A Charlotte Collaboration on Sunday, August 18 at 6:00 p.m. Proceeds will benefit Heal Charlotte, an organization that aims “to unite our community by creating an open dialogue between the citizens, police and elected officials.”

Sixteen culinary professionals will contribute to the dinner including Greg Collier of Uptown Yolk, Ashley Boyd of 300 East, Clarke Barlowe of Heirloom, Chris Coleman of The Goodyear House, Bruce Moffett of Moffett Restaurant Group, and many more.

The menu has not been released but is said to include “three proteins, three starches, four vegetable sides, three breads, and three dessert options.” A cash bar will be available for beverage purchases.

Instead of a standard price, tickets will be available in a “pay what you can” system. Prices range from $20 to $120 in increments of 20, and the lowest option is already sold out. An additional fee will be included as an online service charge. Those who cannot attend but wish to make a donation can select the “Donation to Heal Charlotte” and key in any amount. The work of Heal Charlotte and founder Greg Jackson were featured in this Charlotte Agenda article in May, which brought to light the issues of development, and the people it leaves behind.
