Looking to branch out but don’t know where to start? It can be hard to narrow down a dinner destination in Charlotte with so many new restaurants opening every month.
Luckily, Charlotte Restaurant Week, also known as Queen’s Feast, returns Friday, January 17. Over 140 Charlotte and surrounding-area restaurants are participating in this year’s event. Each location will offer a three-course pre fixe menu for just $30 or $35. Select restaurants offer extra courses or include a free beverage.
Queen’s Feast runs through Sunday, January 26, so there’s plenty of time to try several spots. A few pro tips: make reservations! These restaurants will be busy, and walk-ins are risky. Keep in mind that tip and gratuity are not included in the pre fixe price.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed browsing through the menus, consider our suggestions below.
Aria Tuscan Grill
100 North Tryon Street
Price: $30/person
If you want options, this is your spot. The pre fixe menu contains the majority of their regular menu items. Start with something delicious like caramelized gnocchi, pizza, grilled meatballs, or shaved kale salad then move to braised short rib, house made spaghetti, Grandma B’s lasagna, or NC trout. Try tiramisu or gelato for dessert. See the full menu here.
Mimosa Grill
327 South Tryon Street
Price: $35/person
Have yourself a fantastic meal at Mimosa Grill. Go with the P.E.I mussels or grilled kale Caesar salad before devouring Springer Mountain Farms Fried Chicken with Tennessee hot sauce and pimento mac and cheese. Then, choose from one of four pies and make it a la mode for just $3 more. See the full menu here.
Fahrenheit
222 South Caldwell Street
Price: $35/person
Take in the skyline view and enjoy a lovely meal at Fahrenheit. Start with the crispy calamari, move to the Springer Mountain Farms Coal-Roasted Chicken Mac and Cheese, and finish with dark chocolate cake. Sounds like the perfect meal. See the full menu here.
Bernardin’s
435 S. Tryon St., Suite 100
Price: $35/person
Get your fine dining on this Queen’s Fest at Bernardin’s. We recommend starting with the pan-seared scallop then enjoying the roasted herb lemon chicken breast. Finally, go with the classic crème brulee. See the full menu here.
Halcyon, Flavors From the Earth
500 S. Tryon St.
Price: $35/person
Enjoy a beautiful meal in an equally beautiful setting. Choose from dishes like shrimp toast, pan-roasted trout, shrimp and grits, and double chocolate bread pudding. We’re drooling already. See the full menu here.
Dressler’s
1100 Metropolitan Ave., #125 (Charlotte)
8630 Lindholm Dr. (Huntersville)
Price: $35/person
One great restaurant, two convenient locations. Dressler’s pre fixe menu is simple, but you can’t go wrong. Start with the Thai crispy calamari or pimento cheese before dining on blackened heart of ribeye or organic chicken with sautéed spinach. Dessert options rotate, but we bet John Dressler’s mother’s famous cheesecake will be on the menu. See the full menu here (same menu for both locations.)
