Classic Buffalo Wings

Wing sauce choices have grown a lot since the original Buffalo Wing was created, but that classic flavor remains a crowd favorite. There are numerous commercially made Buffalo style wing sauces on the market, but it's a pretty easy recipe to whip up if you have a few minutes and some basic ingredients.

You'll need:

8 oz unsalted butter

3 garlic cloves, peeled and grated

1 1/3 cups of your favorite hot sauce (it's a personal thing!)

2-3 tablespoons honey, optional (but it adds an incredible layer of flavor and the sweet helps offset the heat!)

cayenne pepper, optional (if you like them extra spicy!)

To make:

Melt the butter in a saucepan over low heat until melted.

Add the grated garlic and stir, cooking for 30 seconds before removing the pan from heat. (Helps to prevent the butter sauce from breaking.)

Whisk in the hot sauce and honey until well combined.

Add cayenne pepper if desired. Taste and adjust if more is needed for the spiciness level you prefer.
