The Atlanta Botanical Garden hosts a series of educational cooking classes in their Edible Garden Outdoor Kitchen where you can relax for the evening tasting great food prepared by amazing chefs utilizing fresh herbs and vegetables from the Edible Garden. In one of the recent classes Chef Holly Chute utilized Springer Mountain Farms chicken along with numerous other Georgia Grown products at the Georgia Grown Dinner during her session of the Garden’s Fresh Plates Series. The Outdoor Kitchen has numerous programs May-October. The Edible Garden also provides fresh veggies and herbs for Longleaf, the Garden’s restaurant, and sends any unused harvested foods to local charities like the Atlanta Community Food Bank.
Springer Mountain Farms is a long time partner of Georgia Grown and Chef Holly Chute. Georgia Grown is a division of the Georgia Department of Agriculture that helps promote and grow local agribusinesses in Georgia. Georgia Grown works to help advance, encourage and stimulate business for agricultural producers, manufacturers and retailers in our state for large companies that support hundreds of local farm families or small mom-and-pop farms, and everything in between.
